School and Church Celebrations:

This year we are celebrating 150 years since Pennington C of E School opened and 200 years since the building of Pennington Church.

These are important historical events and we are excited to celebrate together.

Throughout the week beginning the 21st March, the school is organising various activities. School will be open for tours on Tuesday 22nd March and Wednesday 23rd March, where log books and photos will be on display. School warmly welcomes anyone who would like to share memories from times at Pennington School eg. past pupils, staff and parents. Photos and memorabilia to add to our displays will be gratefully accepted. If you cannot bring them in person, you are welcome to send by email or post and these can be copied at school. We will collate these photos and memories etc. for future posterity. Displays will be transferred to church for viewing over the Easter holidays.

On Friday the 27th (the actual anniversary date of the opening of the school) you are welcome to come to school for refreshments in the morning 9am-11:30am and in the afternoon from 1pm-2:45pm. A minimum donation of £2 per person will be gratefully accepted.

Following this week, there will be a circular history trail from school to church, which the children will have compiled over the week for you to enjoy on a family walk.
